Almost all our posters are "Original Vintage Posters" more than 50 years old. If we list a poster as 1945 it was first printed in that year and the poster we offer is one of the original print run. It is not a reproduction printed later.
Some of our posters are antiques, more than 100 years old. A few are modern era, printed within the last fifty years and by living artists.
Many of our posters are signed by the creator, some are from limited editions and are numbered, some have studio stamps or other marks tracing the origins of the poster
Many of our posters have been in our collection for more than 40 years.

Yes. We are based in East Kent half way between Dover and Deal. Serviced by the M20 and the M2 and the High Speed One train service out of St Pancras. Seventeen minutes from the Folkestone Le Shuttle terminus. Ten minutes from the Port of Dover. Ninety minutes from Gatwick and one-hundred and thirty minutes from Heathrow. Once the bad actors who run Eurostar find their brains and their customer service manual, Ashford International will open once more and we will be able to meet our vistors from all over Europe. Yes, however, we don’t like rolling posters and stuffing them in cardboard tubes. All our posters are valuable, many are rare, some are unique. All of them have been stored flat and in the dark for many years. Many are printed on flimsy paper from long ago.
If you want a courier delivery we will build a wood and plywood box, carefully pack you poster insure it fully and send by “must be signed for” delivery. It takes a little longer and it costs a little more but it’s how we do it.

While we are discussing the details of your purchase we will not sell it to anyone else. If you want us to hold a poster for you while you consult with partners or while you free-up funds, for example, we will agree a small but non-returnable deposit with you

No. We do have our own conservator who inspects our collection and does any necessary conservation work. You could bribe us to tell you where to find her but only if you have very, very, deep pockets.

We and our posters are housed in a listed building with a fifteen foot donkey wheel and a 360 foot well inside the house. We are on the Bulwark Coast next to an area of outstanding natural beauty, close to an area of Outstanding Scientific Interest (Dungeness) close to Dover Castle and Canterbury Cathedral and Tate Margate, surrounded by Michelin starred gastro pubs, close to the historic and bijoux town of Deal (Harpers Bazar said it was the best high street in Britain) close to a world famous golf course and, of course, the Cinque Ports of which Sandwich - the most complete and well-preserved medieval towns in Britain - is the star attraction.
